JV Girls Basketball

Due to lack of participation, Region 58 will not have a Girls JV basketball season this year. If you are interested in forming a team, please contact the league commissioner.

Rules & Regulations

Games consist of four quarters, 4-6 minutes each.

Halftime is 3 minutes.

The clock stops for free throws and timeouts.

Overtime periods are 3 minutes with sudden-death rules.

The mercy rule activates when a team leads by 10 or more points.

Two free throws are awarded for common fouls when a team is in the bonus.

Basketball: Women's/Youth size 28.5.

Teams must have a minimum of 4 players to avoid a forfeit.

Each team is allowed 3 full timeouts per game.

Teams must gather at half-court for prayer before each game.

Zero tolerance for disrespectful conduct from players, coaches, and spectators.
